Admission Philosophy

Admissions at RPS are guided by the following principles:

Equal opportunity irrespective of background.

No discrimination or unfair advantage.

Note: Admissions follow a first-come, first-served basis for limited seats.

Step-by-Step Admission Process

Step 1 — Enquiry & Prospectus Collection

Parents can visit the school, call the office, or download the prospectus and admission form from the website. During enquiry, parents receive:

  • School overview
  • Fee structure
  • Curriculum information
  • Transport routes
  • Admission guidelines

Step 2 — Registration Form Submission

Parents must submit the admission/registration form with basic details of the child and parents.

Documents required during registration:

  • 1 passport-size photograph of the child
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Aadhar card copy (child & parents)
  • Address proof
  • Registration fees

This step officially reserves a seat for the admission interaction/assessment.

Step 3 — Child Interaction / Entrance Assessment

The school conducts an age-appropriate evaluation as per CBSE norms:

For Pre-Primary (Nursery, LKG, UKG):

  • Informal interaction with the child
  • Observation of communication, motor skills, and social behavior
  • No written test for Class 1 & 2
  • Informal interaction with the child
  • Interaction with the Parents
  • Oral Test

For Primary (Class 1 to 5):

  • Basic competency check in English, Hindi, EVS, G.K. & Mathematics
  • Oral reading & comprehension
  • Simple problem-solving tasks

For Middle & Secondary Classes (6 to 9):

  • Written assessment in English, Hindi, Mathematics & Science
  • Interaction with the academic coordinator

For Senior Secondary Classes (11):

  • Psychometric test
  • Interaction with the child
  • Interaction with the Parents

Purpose of assessment:

  • To understand the child's learning level
  • To plan appropriate academic support
  • NOT to reject children

Step 4 — Parent Interaction

The school conducts a short meeting with parents to:

  • Understand the child's background and interests
  • Explain school values, policies, academic expectations
  • Listen to parents' expectations
  • Confirm transport & facility requirements

This helps establish a healthy school–home partnership.

Step 5 — Selection & Notification

After assessment and document review, parents receive confirmation via:

  • Phone call
  • WhatsApp message
  • Email communication

If seats are full, children are placed on a waiting list.

Step 6 — Document Verification

At the time of final admission, parents must submit:

Mandatory Documents:

  • Original birth certificate (for verification)
  • Transfer Certificate (for Class 2 and above)
  • Previous year report card
  • 3 passport-size photographs
  • Aadhar copies (child & parents)
  • Blood group report
  • Caste certificate

Step 7 — Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation

Admission is confirmed only after:

  • Verification of documents
  • Payment of admission & first-term fees
  • Issuance of fee receipt
  • Allotment of class & section

Once complete, the child is officially enrolled.

This helps parents understand the school environment and support their child effectively.

Withdrawal Procedure

If a parent wishes to withdraw the child:

  • A written application must be submitted
  • TC will be issued within 7 working days
  • Fees will be refunded as per school refund policy

Important Notes

Compliance with CBSE & School Norms

All academic, co-curricular, disciplinary, and administrative activities of the school are conducted strictly as per CBSE guidelines, NEP 2020, and the school's internal policies. Any updates issued by CBSE or competent authorities from time to time shall be binding on all stakeholders.

Accuracy of Information

Parents are advised to ensure that all information provided in admission forms, declarations, and documents is true, complete, and accurate. Any discrepancy, suppression, or misrepresentation of facts may lead to cancellation of admission at any stage.

Change in Policies or Schedules

The school management reserves the right to modify rules, regulations, schedules, academic plans, fee structure, transport routes, or policies whenever required in the interest of students or as per statutory instructions, without prior notice.

Attendance & Punctuality

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for academic success. Students failing to meet the minimum attendance requirement prescribed by CBSE and the school may not be promoted to the next class or allowed to appear in examinations.

Uniform & Discipline

Wearing the prescribed school uniform, maintaining discipline, and following the code of conduct are mandatory. Repeated indiscipline or misconduct may attract strict disciplinary action, including suspension or withdrawal.

Safety & Security Measures

While the school ensures CCTV surveillance, trained staff, fire safety measures, and secure transport, parents are requested to cooperate with school safety protocols and instructions issued from time to time.

Transport Facility

School transport is an optional facility. Routes and timings may be altered based on feasibility and safety considerations. Parents must adhere to transport rules and ensure punctual reporting at designated stops.

Fee Payment & Refund Policy

All fees must be paid as per the schedule notified by the school. Admission fees are non-refundable. Other fee-related rules shall be governed by the school's fee policy and CBSE norms.

Parent–School Communication

Parents are encouraged to maintain regular communication with the school through ERP, circulars, notices, PTMs, and official communication channels. Verbal or unofficial communications will not be considered valid.

Use of Digital Platforms

The school may use digital platforms for academic delivery, communication, and assessments when required. Parents are expected to ensure appropriate digital access and supervision at home.

Photography & Media Consent

The school may use photographs or videos of students taken during academic or co-curricular activities for school records, publications, or the official website, unless parents submit a written objection.

Final Authority

In all matters related to academics, discipline, admissions, and administration, the decision of the School Management shall be final and binding.
